Recipies
We have tasted many delicious cakes and other creations in the kitchen after a badminton match. After many requests for recipes we have decided to add some of our favourites to the website to share with all. Enjoy!
Banoffee Pie
by Caroline Smith
Ingredients:
- Digestive Biscuits
- Butter
- Nestle Carnation Caramel (or Nestle Carnation Condensed Milk)
- Bananas
- Whipping Cream
- Cadburys Flake
Instructions:
Ideally try to get Nestle Carnation Caramel. If you cannot find this use Condensed Milk. Take the tin of condensed milk (do not open it). Put the sealed tin into a large saucepan or water and boil for 2 hours ensuring it is totally submerged. Check the water level regularly to ensure the water level stays above the tin.
Crush enough digestive biscuits to make a cheesecake base.
Melt a 2/3 inch slice of butter and add the crush digestive biscuits. Mix together and then put in the bottom of a cake tin.
Leave the base in the fridge for a couple of hours to set
Open the cooled tin of Condensed Milk or the tin or caramel. Smooth onto the biscuit base and leave in the fridge until ready to serve.
When you are ready to serve add sliced banana, then whipped cream and sprinkle with crushed flake bar.
